That Awkward Stare!

Like a school girl shy and bright,

Couldn’t help but smile at sight.

Ages back he ruled my mind,

But failed to keep my heart.

Often his eyes set in an stare,

Scanning something that wasn’t there.

Awkward did I felt for us,

Waited for the clock to tick.

Abruptly did we part our ways,

Leaving me wonder about the stare!

I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. BY ROBERT FROST
