Time is Ticking Fast

His time is ticking fast,
So fast that it must be slowed down.
My mind was totally blank,
And the road ahead was too dark.
Too dark that I had to stumble a lot,
And ahead was a deep gorge to keep in check.
Life can be cruel to anybody–
A child, a youngster or an old one.
Though found a new path,
Not sure if it is the right path.
The path may have twist and turns,
But the goal is to reach the destination.
